Thank goodness for digital cameras!

The bigger the family gets, the harder it is to take pictures. I am not talking about more babies and small kids (because Joshua is the only one--though, he did have a hard time looking at the camera!) but rather the "big" kids. You would think a bunch of teenagers and young adults could stay put when and where they are told and stay there for a mere few minutes so we could get a few nice pictures and move on with our lives....but no. Not at the White house. Someone had to be making a face, or poking someone else or giving bunny ears or SOMETHING right when the picture was taken. And yes, it was all on purpose.

But in the end, I think we are a good looking bunch.

Eric usually makes the announcement "Everyone needs to only worry about their own smiles. Nobody needs to worry about the smiles of the babies and small children except for the parents of said babies and small children. If we are all trying to make the babies smile, none of us will be ready for the picture."

This actually worked quite well the last time we took family photos.
